Askim, Sweden – September 2, 2016 – Today the Swedish based Survey and GIS equipment maker; Satlab Geosolutions AB, announces its multi-purpose multi-frequency SLX-1 GNSS receiver. The SLX-1 is designed to function as a CORS receiver and a mobile sensor suitable for any application where a rugged multi-application GNSS receiver is required.
Based on embedded Linux operating system, the SLX-1 is a true multi-user and multi-tasking solution. The base CORS design is ideal for long unattended and continuous operation. The receiver tracks GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS and SBAS constellations and can maximize the tracking to observe all visible GNSS satellite signals, thereby providing maximum performance for accuracy and real-time measurements.
SatLab SLX-1 has the ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks. The GNSS receiver can continuously track and record all satellite data, in different formats, to multiple files while at the same time enabling the operator to download the recorded data and stream or transmit different forms of correction data.
With Ethernet and 3G wireless modem, communications with networks for data transmission to broadcast differential correction data are easily achieved. The SLX-1 supports TCP/IP, Satlab Internet RTK and NTRIP corrections, or with the addition of an external UHF radio transmitter, making it compatible with all modern GNSS receivers on the market.
SLX-1 has 64GB internal memory, providing for up to one year of raw data storage, which is available for FTP or remote web page download. With high performance precision GNSS measurement techniques, direct-millimeter accuracy with the highest levels of quality assurance is obtained. CMR, CMR+, sCMRx, RTCM, RTCMv3, RTCM32, Rinex and Binex differential formats are all supported. The receiver is easily integrated into existing CORS networks, but can also output high precision GNSS data in real time for simple single base operations.
Remote control of the receiver is easily achieved by logging into the internal web server. SLX-1 will fully satisfy reference station or peripheral data input and output requirements with its RS232 ports, two USB ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular 3G, Ethernet, and RS485 interfaces. It also has an external clock interface and a PPS output port.
With a rugged anodized aluminum alloy metal case, internal lithium battery for up to 24 hours independent operation, two lane external voltage inputs, the SLX-1 is designed to stay on-line regardless of environmental factors. If power were lost, once restored the receiver will re-boot using the last settings and continue working normally.
“The SLX-1 is an exciting addition to the SatLab portfolio and will be a driver to provide multi-constellation correction data to our increasing range of GNSS mobile products”, commented Bjorn Agardh”, CEO of Satlab, “the simplicity yet sophisticated capabilities of the SLX-1 combined with our free Internet RTK global server services makes provision of correction data seamless and simple” he added.
SLX-1 availability will commence in September and as always, there are no hidden costs of ownership with any Satlab product.
